Around the World: 9 Cities in 9 Weeks

The University Study Abroad Consortium (USAC), headquartered on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, asked me to make 14 short promotional videos for their website (note: “short video” does not equate to “easily made”). One video is to be showcased on the USAC homepage showing off their most popular programs in: Spain, Italy, France, China. There will be 4 country videos and 9 program videos to help students decided which program is for them.

The trip covers 9 cities in 9 weeks, plus a week off during a school break. Travel will be east to west, making a complete circuit around the world.

  1. Shanghai, China
  2. Chengdu, China
  3. Viterbo, Italy
  4. Torino, Italy
  5. Bilbao, Spain
  6. Pau, France
  7. San Sebastian, Spain
  8. Madrid, Spain
  9. Alicante, Spain

[Edit]: The finished videos can be seen on my video portfolio, or here:

The job offer came based off of a previous video I made for USAC as a student with them studying in Costa Rica during spring of 2010. The Costa Rica USAC video was my first paid video project, check it out: A special thanks to Brandon Stewart for the idea to pitch the video to USAC, and putting in a good word about me to USAC marketing. Without Brandon’s encouragement, I would not have thought possible to go professional.

    • The top picture was taken in Pichilemu, Chile by a good friend of mine by the name of Justin Schrand on a overnight beach camping trip. It should be noted that we are still hiking on the beach at sunset, which means we’d be setting up camp in the dark, but it was worth it for the pics…and the experience:) It’s my favorite picture of myself.

Tell me what you think...
